SECURITY ATLAS / EVALUATION BRIEF TrendAI Vision One Cloud Security Research reviewed: 2026-10-18 https://atlasofsecurity.com/landscape/vendors/trendai-cloud-security/ THE ATLAS TAKE TrendAI Vision One Cloud Security is worth considering when existing Trend operations can be extended into a clearly mapped cloud-security deployment. The official account comparison is particularly important: feature support and deployment methods vary across providers and organization scopes. Agentless assessment also deploys scanning resources and has its own scan behavior, while workload protection uses a different path. Atlas would evaluate one required control per cloud before trusting a platform-wide coverage claim. The credit system deserves the same precision: cloud assessment, workload protection, and other capabilities can have different units and entitlements even when they appear in one console. SCOPE Current documentation uses TrendAI Vision One, formerly Trend Vision One. Check the cloud-account comparison for each requested capability, and scope agents, integrations and subscriptions separately. Agentless disk or image scanning is not equivalent to host runtime monitoring. WORTH A LOOK WHEN Trend-oriented security teams that can map provider-specific cloud features, scan infrastructure, and workload protection into an owned operating model. THINK TWICE WHEN The expected design assumes identical features across every provider, account scope, and existing Trend license. IMPLEMENTATION 1. Build the provider-control matrix List the required protections for each cloud and organization scope, together with template, permission, and entitlement dependencies. 2. Observe a complete scan cycle Inspect deployed functions, scan snapshots, output metadata, failure handling, and cleanup on a nonproduction account. 3. Assign credit and coverage ownership Reconcile assessed cloud assets and other protected populations with the credit model before expanding enrollment. OPERATING REALITY Cloud platform owners maintain deployed templates, permissions, scan resources, and account enrollment; security teams manage findings, exceptions, and credit allocation. Atlas would monitor scanner completion and resource cleanup as well as workload-agent health. A successful cloud connection does not establish that every optional protection was enabled or that the account’s resources fit the same billing allowance. COMMERCIAL CONSIDERATIONS Use the current credit-requirements table and a written entitlement schedule. Cloud-account assessment uses resource bands; other selected capabilities can follow different credit units. - Cloud-account assessment bands and assessed asset populations - Workload or container protection and other separately enabled solutions - In-account scanning resources, retention, deployment, and administration EVALUATION PLAN / PROPOSED TESTS, NOT COMPLETED RESULTS 1. Challenge a provider difference Acceptance evidence: Choose a required feature that varies by provider or account scope and capture its actual configuration and unsupported case. Owner: __________ Pass criterion: __________ Observed result: __________ Evidence location: __________ 2. Inspect snapshot lifecycle Acceptance evidence: Observe scan creation, supported data flow, failure recovery, and snapshot cleanup without using production-sensitive fixtures. Owner: __________ Pass criterion: __________ Observed result: __________ Evidence location: __________ 3. Reconcile credits with enrollment Acceptance evidence: Enroll a known test population and map its resource band and enabled solutions to the displayed credit allocation. Owner: __________ Pass criterion: __________ Observed result: __________ Evidence location: __________ QUESTIONS FOR THE VENDOR - Which cloud functions exist for every required provider and which are provider-specific? - What data is processed outside the customer environment, and what regional handling options apply? - Which control supplies live workload behavior rather than an assessment of stored image or disk state? EVIDENCE GAPS - No independent scan-accuracy, application-impact, response, or cost benchmark was performed. - The provider support matrix, current credit requirements, and inherited Cloud One or Vision One entitlements must be checked together for the proposed tenant.
